It sounds like you’re on the hunt to make your elopement day absolutely unforgettable! Adding activities that capture the fun and playful side of your relationship can create endless memories. As an elopement photographer, I’ve curated a list of the top 10 activities you can include to make your wedding day even more special, all based in San Diego, California. Happy eloping!
When it comes to planning, be sure to give yourself plenty of breathing room. Plan for about 1–2 hours per activity to soak it all in and truly savor the moments you’ve chosen for your big day. After all, this is the one day you’ll look back on forever!
Paddle Boarding: It’s the perfect mix of balance and adventure! Whether you’re gliding across calm waters or letting loose with a splash-filled race, paddleboarding is all about embracing the moment. Don’t be afraid to get silly!
Outdoor Picnic: Picnicking is the perfect way to pause, soak in the beauty, and savor the day together. Find a park special to the both of you! (Bonus if your partner knows how to serenade you with a guitar to include some gentle tones!)
Biking: Grab those bikes and hit the boardwalk while soaking in the summer sun! If you’ve only got one bike, no worries—sharing makes the ride even more fun and memorable.
Lanterns: Take the magic of golden hour into the evening by lighting lanterns together. I ordered mine through Amazon and adds a moody and romantic ambiance to your photoshoot!
Champagne / Sparking Water Pop: Pop that bubbly! Save your cork for a sweet keepsake.
Swing Around: Weeee!! Always leave room for play and don’t be afraid to feel like a kid again! Although finding a swing isn’t always accessible to location, hop on and enjoy the ride. This swing is located at Sunset Cliffs!
Flower Picking: During the spring months, find your favorite flowers and pick them during your elopement. Press them in a book as a keepsake!
No love story is one and the same, I’m thrilled to learn what makes you unique. Oh and we’ll take some stunning photos in the meantime!
